To Home Lines.
The Italia (21,554 grt in 1948, 609 ft. long) started her career in 1928 as the Kungsholm
of the Swedish American Line.
After having been sold to the U.S. in 1942 for service as a troop
transport, she was sold to Home Lines in 1947.
Renamed Italia, she operated on different
North Atlantic routes from 1949 until the early 1960s.
She was sold for scrap in 1965.
The Queen Frederica (20,553 grt, 582 ft. long). Ex-Malolo of Matson Lines.
