To Standard Fruit and Steamship Co..

The Amapala or Atlántida (4,148/4,191 grt, 350 ft. long) were the first purpose-built combined passenger and banana carriers with Standard Fruit.
They were delivered in 1924. While the Amapala was sunk by a submarine in 1942, the Atlántida sailed on until 1958 when she was,
like several of her fleetmates, laid up and sold to breakers the year after.
