British Airtours

United Kingdom

*

Founded as BEA Airtours in 1969, it became British Airtours when BEA merged with BOAC to form British Airways in the early 1970s. It operated charter and IT flights and was renamed Caledonian Airways in 1988. After a series of mergers the later UK airline Thomas Cook Airlines (defunct in 2019) could trace its history back to British Airtours (among other airlines).
