SISA - Società Italiana Servizi Aerei

Italy

SISA was formed in 1923 and started operations in 1926 on a route between Trieste and Turin via Venice.

In 1934, SISA merged with Navigazione Aerea - SANA, SAM - Società Aerea Mediterranea and
AEI - Aero Espresso Italiana, to form Ala Littoria, the pre-war national airline of Italy.

In 1947, SISA was rejuvenated, but soon disappeared when some smaller airlines merged under the leadership
of another rejuvenated airline, ALI - Avio Linee Italiane. The surviving airline became ALI-Flotte Riunite.
