Puget Sound Airlines was founded in 1969 from a merger of six smaller airlines: Angeles Flying Service, Bellingham-Seattle Airways, Bremerton Air Taxi, Island Sky Ferries, Skyline Air Service and Whidbey Flying Service. The airline lasted a mere year. One of its founders was also the co-founder of Oak Harbor Airlines (soon shortened to Harbor Airlines) in 1971, hence the similarities in graphic design of the timetables of the two airlines
